Make parenting fun again with these amazing life hacks

As amazing as kids are, raising them can be a LOT of work. From changing baby diapers to dealing with toddler tantrums and keeping tends out of trouble, parenting can take a real toll on parents. But you can make parenting fun again with the help of these tips, tricks, and life hacks that’ll help make your life just a little easier.

A roundup of our favourite ways to make parenting fun again

1. Buy yourself a baby stroller and scooter hybrid

These things are for real and can really make walkies a lot more interesting. We’re not sure where you’ll find them in SA, yet, but we’re pretty sure they’ll be around soon enough.

2. Use a rope to swing yourself

Tie a rope to the swing and sit your ass down while you swing your kid. It’s a win-win where you get to chill for two minutes while your kiddo swings away.

3. Make your kids get along with a get-along shirt

You’ve seen them on Pinterest, and it can be an interesting way to make parenting fun again. Of course, we don’t recommend making your kids wear them on a daily basis. Or are we?

4. Buy a baby shower cap

Not only do baby shower caps look ridiculously cute, but they also help keep your baby’s eyes safe and dry when washing their hair. These little silicone flowers aren’t essential during the baby days, but they sure are neat to have around.

5. Use an inflatable pool for a baby playpen

Instead of forking out ridiculous amounts of cash on a playpen for your baby, which will only be used for a few months anyway, just use an inflatable pool. They’re bigger, just as safe, and probably more fun for everyone, including your wallet.

6. Make your own monster spray

Add some monster stickers to a spray bottle and fill it with water to create your own “monster spray”. When your kids get scared of the dark, they can use their monster spray to get rid of any monsters. Genius.

7. Hide your stash in a frozen foods bag

We promise: no kid will ever go looking for your secrets stash of Bar One chocolates inside a bag of “frozen peas”. Just don’t ever let them catch you removing some sweet stuff from the bag of veggies though.
