What are some of the best first birthday party ideas?

The internet might be crammed full of inspirational ideas for your kid’s first birthday, but we’ve rounded up the best of the bunch. Here’s our selection of the best first birthday party ideas:

Transport party

Everything planes, trains, and automobiles rolls as far as the decor for this party is concerned. Set up some cardboard aeroplanes and cars along with finger paints. The little kiddos will go gaga over the painting activity. As a treat, guests get to take home their masterpieces as a souvenir of a day well spent.

Wild One party

The classic children’s book Where the Wild Things Are can serve as your muse for this theme. Throw an animal-inspired party for your one-year-old. Include animal face masks in the favours and give the tiny guests the opportunity of painting their own masks as a party activity.

Pretty pastel part for your princess

If you can’t decide on a specific theme, just go with pastels for your baby girl’s first birthday party. It can be sweet, plain, girly, and just perfect for your little human.

Farmer party

This one is usually a hit with the boys.  This theme allows you to go a little country while still keeping it adorable at the same time. Use hay for décor and don’t forget about the farm-inspired bunting. You can do the cake in a classical farmyard theme. Be sure to add some of the decor elements to the cake soo that it matches the theme.

First bee-day

A bee-themed birthday part is ideal for your little one’s first birthday, and you can get very creative with the theme too. Have your tiny guests dress up as bees for the day, or give them all little bee wings or antennas as favours for the day.

A carousel or carnival part is ideal since it’s gender-neutral. The idea of having a colourful birthday bash will amaze your kiddo as well. To pull it all together, include loads of popcorn, cotton candy, sprinkled cupcakes and perhaps even a little carousel. Candy apples are also great for sending home as party favours!
